Animal Control

DOGS:
The City of Johnson City has partnered with Wags, Inc. Hope and Healing, a non-profit organization, in order to provide services for stray, lost or hurt dogs. The dogs are generally kept in a shelter at the police station until Wags picks them up. If the dog is severely injured, the animal will be picked up immediately. Both the Johnson City Police Department and Wags will do their best to find the owner of a dog. If an owner is not found, then Wags will find a temporary foster home for the animal until it can be adopted, or hold the dog until a suitable home can be found. Wags, Inc. is a no-kill operation.

**IF YOU HAVE AN ANIMAL ISSUE, PLEASE CALL THE JOHNSON CITY PD. WAGS, INC. WILL CONSULT ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS.**
