The City of Johnson City, TX will hold Public Hearings to discuss and take action on proposed revisions to Municipal Code of Ordinances Chapter 14 “Zoning”, including, but not limited to, proposed revisions to general zoning regulations, zoning district regulations, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Schedule of Uses, and the Official Zoning Map and zoning district boundaries throughout the City of Johnson City, TX.

The Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold Public Hearings on the proposed revisions on November 26th and December 3rd, 2024, respectively, at 6 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

Following conclusion of the City Council Public Hearing on 12/3/24, the City Council scheduled a workshop on the matter for 1/7/25 at 4:30 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

Following conclusion of the City Council workshop on 1/7/25, the City Council scheduled another workshop on the matter for 1/23/25 at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

Following conclusion of the City Council workshop on 1/23/25, the City Council scheduled another workshop on the matter for 2/3/25 at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.  UPDATE: THE 2/3/25 WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED.  THE RESCHEDULED DATE WILL BE POSTED ONLINE ONCE CONFIRMED.

The next City Council workshop on the matter is scheduled for 2/10/25 at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

Following conclusion of the City Council workshop on 2/10/25, the City Council scheduled another workshop on the matter for 2/19/25 at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.  UPDATE: THE 2/19/25 WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED.  THE RESCHEDULED DATE WILL BE POSTED ONLINE ONCE CONFIRMED.

The next City Council workshop on the matter is scheduled for 3/3/25 at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

Following conclusion of the City Council workshop on 3/3/25, the City Council scheduled another workshop on the matter for 3/10/25 at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

The City Council finalized its review of the proposed revisions to Municipal Code of Ordinances Chapter 14 “Zoning” on 3/10/25.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the City Council directed Staff to post a Public Hearing on the matter on the April 15, 2025 Regular City Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT OF IMPACT FEES

The City Council of the City of Johnson City, TX will hold a Public Hearing to discuss, review, and amend the updated land use assumptions, capital improvements plan, and impact fees on March 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. C.S.T. at City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.  The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the amendment of land use assumptions, a capital improvements plan, and the imposition of an impact fee.  Any member of the public has the right to appear at the Hearing and present evidence for or against the update.
